Interface Details

CAPA can process call data from practically any phone switch that outputs an SMDR stream to an RS-232 port. The only limitation is that all the call data must be on one line. We can usually generate a filter for an "off brand" switch if given a sample of the SMDR output. In fact, such modifications can be done "on-the-fly" at the site. We can also accept data from other call-rating systems, and either pass them through or re-rate the calls.

CAPA's call accounting system can also do things not expected of call accounting systems. For example, it can let clients generate wakeup calls or order movies from their rooms. It can also handle maid status calls for PBXs that don't have those features. (All of these are linked to the INNKEEPER system.)

Our call-accounting system can also export to other call-accounting systems and front-desk systems, so we can act as a translator for calls. The exporter is also hightly configurable.

We also have PBX interfaces for several switches, which allows our system to turn the phones on and off, and to send the client's name to the phone (it will only show up on digital phones.) We even have a special interface that turns a Toshiba DK system into a hospitality system, complete with wake-up calls!

For voice mail systems, we have interfaces for ESNA's Telephony Office Links/Perfect Guest Messaging, as well as Mitel's and DuVoice's voice mail systems. Some AT&T switches have a voice mail that the PBX controls, so sending a message to the PBX also send a message to the voice mail.

We also have interfaces for POS systems, cardlock systems, Internet control, kiosks, guest printers, security systems and others.

Most of the interfaces use serial ports. Newer systems may have TCP/IP (LAN) interfaces. Contact CAPA for more information.

Development for all our systems is ongoing, so new features and enhancements are added as needed.
